Sileshi Nemomissa is Professor of Biosystematics at AAU. He serves as principal coordinator of multinational research projects. He has pioneered the establishment of DNA Bank at the National Herbarium of Ethiopia, AAU. Currently, this DNA bank houses over 25,000 DNA samples of wild plants collected from nine mountain ecosystems of Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. He has published extensively.
