Yonas Beyene is Director of the Konso Paleontological Research project. He discovered and published the world’s earliest Acheulean technology and its evolution between 1.75 and 0.8 million years before present. He served as Associate Professor at the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris and as Academic Research Vice President of Wolqite University. He was member of UNESCO World Heritage Committee, representing Ethiopia. He has published extensively.
