China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Ltd., Ethiopia, visited the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) to explore opportunities for collaboration. The Executive Director of CCCC Ethiopia, Mr. Tang Bin, along with Mr. Xiao Zhiqiang, Mr. Sun He, and others visited EAS, where they were warmly welcomed by the Executive Director of EAS, Prof. Teketel Yohannes, Dr. Tibebeselassie Seyoum, and other EAS staffs.
Professor Teketel Yohannes extended a warm welcome to the team and provided a detailed overview of the Academy’s history, objectives, and the various activities it has carried out and the collaborations it has built since its establishment.
During the visit, Mr. Tang Bin showcased CCCC’s notable accomplishments in research, engineering, and communication across Ethiopia and other nations, including the expansion of the Ethiopian Airlines terminal and the construction of the Abay Bridge.
After visiting the Science Center, the Creative Arts and Culture Center, and the Botanical Garden, there was a bilateral meeting. EAS and CCCC agreed to work together to achieve shared missions, identify areas of focus, and ready to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing further collaboration.
