Solomon Teferra is Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, College of Health Sciences, Adds Ababa University. He was a visiting scientist at Harvard School of Public Health (2016-2020), and appointed Visiting Professor at King’s College London on August 1, 2025. Qualifications: MD, Specialty (Psychiatry, AAU), Subspecialty (Addiction Psychiatry, University of Toronto), and PhD in Psychiatric Epidemiology (Umeå University, Sweden).
He has more than 120 publications in scientific journals. He is current Executive Committee member and President-elect of African Association of Psychiatrists, and Honorary Member of the World Psychiatric Association and had served as President of Ethiopian Psychiatric Association (2014-2017).
