I am a Full Professor of Physics at Addis Ababa University (AAU), serving as Chairperson of the Department and President of the Ethiopian Physical Society. I hold a PhD from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and completed postdoctoral research at the University of the Free State. My research focuses on cost-effective synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for solar cells, sensors, antimicrobial, and photocatalytic applications. I have supervised six PhD and over 40 MSc students, published 80+ peer-reviewed articles, and hold an h-index of 22. I am a fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences and an editorial board member of two journals
