Mohammed Assen Ahmed

Trained in Geography and soil science, Mohammed has been engaged in diverse research activities including national and international collaborative research projects and offered several national and international consultancy services. Among the international collaborative research projects, major one include climate change impacts in semiarid regions, drought resilience in semiarid lands, applying available climate formation for water security management and Prosopis juliflora management. Nationally, my research work deals with landscape dynamics, impacts of large-scale agriculture on environment and water resources, and watershed management. I have produced about 90 peer reviewed articles, over 25 scientific reports and advised over 150 postgraduate thesis projects.
