Esayas Alemayehu obtained a Ph.D. degree (Dr.-Ing) with highest distinction, magna cum laude, in Environmental Engineering from Rostock University, Germany in 2010, following a MSc degree in Sanitary Engineering & M.Eng. in Water Supply from IHE, The Netherlands in 2003.
Prof., Dr.-Ing Alemayehu published 190 scientific papers pertinent to his field of work. He is also serving as a Practicing Engineer and Chief Professional in the field of Water and Environmental Engineering. He has supervised and graduated 27 doctoral students and more than 120 master’s students. Furthermore, he has held academic leadership positions in Jimma University for about eighteen years.
