Mirgissa Kaba is a public health expert with multiple disciplinary orientation and qualifications. With a focus on behavioral domain particularly on socio-cultural determinants of health and health care, Mirgissa has produced more than 160 publications in peer reviewed journals. Currently Mirgissa is full a Professor of Public Health based at the school of Public Health, Addis Ababa University with teaching, research and mentorship responsibilities. Mirgissa received several awards at national level as well as at program level for his merit and is involved leading different research projects as PI and CO-PI. His current research and policy advice focus on One Health, community engagement in health and indigenous wisdom and resources as foundations for relevance of education.
