Mengistu Ketema is a Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and CEO of the Ethiopian Economics Association. He earned his BSc in 1999 and MSc in 2003 from Haramaya University and a Ph.D. in 2010 from Justus-Liebig University, Germany. He served Haramaya University for 18 years in teaching, research, and leadership, including over 7 years as Director for Research Extension and Publication. He has coordinated numerous collaborative projects and authored over 100 journal articles, 25 proceedings papers, and five book chapters.
