Aster Tsegaye is Associate Professor of Immunology, College of Health Science, at Addis Ababa University. She obtained her PhD in Immunology from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands 2004; her Advanced Immunology Training from Leiden University Medical Centre, The Netherlands in 2000; her MSc in Zoology from Addis Ababa University 1995; and BSc in Biology (Minor in Chemistry) from Addis Ababa University 1987. She served at Black Lion Hospital in Different Positions and was the lead consultant for the draft National Laboratory Policy of Ethiopia and is involved in national task forces within the Federal Ministry of Health. She has advised a number of MSc, PhD and Undergraduate Students and served as external examiner. Dr. Aster is a recipient of different awards for her contribution in her field and she has published extensively.
