Abraham Haileamlak Mitike, Principal of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Rwanda, is a distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health/Pediatric Cardiology with over 30 years of experience in health systems and higher education. He earned his medical degree and pediatric specialization from Addis Ababa University and completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology in Israel. Formerly at Jimma University (2000–2018), he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Health Sciences (2006–2023). Widely published with over 100 articles, he has received national and international awards and contributes globally through advisory and professional associations.
