Sponsored by: David and Lucile Packard Foundation
Background
The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) has partnered with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to implement the Bridge project, which aims to bridge the gap between evidence and policy on population issues in Ethiopia. In phases I and II, the project focused on conducting consensus studies on critical issues, creating platforms for evidence-based dialogue between policymakers and researchers, and enhancing the capacity of emerging female researchers to contribute to bridging the evidence-policy gap. The partnership has now entered its Consolidation phase, known as the Bridge-Consolidation project, which builds on the successes of phases I and II, identifies new areas of engagement, and ensures the sustainability of EAS’s population-related activities.
