Science Center Standing Committee (SCSC) of EAS is a committee comprised of six members who are Fellows of EAS with extensive experience in their respective disciplines, and are drawn from six Working Groups of the Academy. The main duty of the SCSC is to guide the Secretariat in mapping and coordinating technical and financial resources required to successfully launch and run the Science Center. The SCSC also offers consultation, discusses and passes decisions on subjects of the Science Center. The Committee is supposed to regularly meet at least once a month with a proposed agenda set and distributed to Committee Members by the Chairperson or by request of more than half of Committee Members. Half of the Committee Members shall constitute a quorum and decisions are, as much as possible, made by consensus among the quorum. The SCSC should serve for three consecutive years.
