I a professor of Pharmacology working for Addis Ababa University. I am involved in teaching, research and consultancy. My research areas are clinical trials and phytotherapy. I have executed several research projects, and published over 267 peer reviewed scientific papers, books and book chapters . I have served as a member of National Drug Advisory Committee of Ethiopia. I serve as a member of editorial boards in several National and International peer reviewed journals. I have several Gold medal awards and certificates of appreciation. I have served as member and Chairperson of National Health Research Ethics Review Committee I am fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Science and has served as member of the academy Health Working Group. I am currently a Deputy Head of CDT Africa, the World Bank Supported Centre of excellence, AAU.
