Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) and STEMpower Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Thursday 16 May 2019, focusing on joint collaboration to support and strengthen the Science/ STEM Center of the Academy.
Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) and STEMpower Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Thursday 16 May 2019, focusing on joint collaboration to support and strengthen the Science/ STEM Center of the Academy.
The MoU was signed by Professor Tsige Gebre-Mariam, President of EAS and Kidist Gebreamlak, Board Chairperson of STEMpower Inc. At the MOU signing ceremony, they discussed further on possibilities of supporting and sustaining the programs of Ethiopian Academy of Sciences Science Center, particularly the STEM Center.
The agreement is believed to strengthen the partnership in creating a vibrant and dynamic public space, where learning science is an enjoyable and engaging experience, with emphasis on introducing hands-on enrichment program in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.
STEMpower is a U.S.A. based International Non-Governmental Charity Organization, which is a successor of Gelfand Family Charitable Trust (GFCT).
