Teshome Gebre Kanno received his Ph.D. in Health Care Management from Century University, Albuquerque, USA. He worked for UNICEF briefly and joined the Carter Center where he had the opportunity to establish the Country Office and became the first Country Director. He has been working as a Regional Director for Africa (responsible for 22 African countries) based in Addis Ababa since June 2011. He has published more than 84 papers in peer reviewed international journals, including four book chapters. He is serving as international board director for AMREF Health Africa, Nairobi, Kenya.
