Tesfaye Kebede Kidane is a senior imaging specialist at GE Healthcare and an adjunct faculty at the Department of Physics, AAU. He has a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Physics, Case Western Reserve University. He was responsible for leading the design and development of multiple generations of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and combining MRI and Positron Emission Tomography (MR/PET) for true simultaneous imaging, which is hailed as a crucial advancement in the detection and treatment of cancer. Tesfaye holds nine MRI-related patents and is recipient of GE patent award. He is the founding member and vice president of Ethiopian Physical Society in North America (EPS-NA).
