The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) and Kalp Digital Infra Private Limited, a leading Indian technology service provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting Blockchain education, awareness, and institutional capacity-building across Ethiopia.
The MoU was signed at the EAS Headquarters by Prof. Teketel Yohannes, Executive Director of EAS, representing the Academy, and Mr. Mohit Bajaj, Director of Kalp Digital Infra.

The collaboration aligns with EAS’s mandate to advance science, technology, and innovation as tools for national development and is part of its broader strategy to harness emerging digital technologies.
According to the MoU, Kalp Digital Infra will provide a suite of services including the design and delivery of a Blockchain education program, faculty development initiatives, research collaboration with academic institutions, and advisory support for Blockchain-based solutions.


These initiatives are expected to enhance operational transparency and efficiency while expanding access to digital tools in Ethiopia’s scientific and educational landscape.
This marks a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge digital infrastructure into Ethiopia’s innovation ecosystem.
