Wendimagegn Mammo is Professor of Organic Chemistry at AAU. He has served AAU as Chairman of the Department of Chemistry and as member of several committees. He received the Distinguished Research Award for excellence in research in 2014. In 2010, he was elected Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and received the C.N.R. Rao Prize for scientific research in 2012. He is member of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia (CSE) and served as Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the Bulletin of the CSE.
