Dr Tsehaynesh Messele is a senior public health professional with over 20 years of experience and proven track record of leadership and promotion of high standards of performance. As a CEO of ASLM, she transformed it from a concept into a thriving and successful organization that enjoys high-level engagement with governments, regional as well as international partners, the private sector and other stakeholders. Under her leadership, the organization quadrupled its funding levels. She also served as Director General of the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, formerly Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute. She has conducted numerous research on infectious diseases and public health programs and published several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She has also served as chair and member of different national and international executive boards and committees.
