Mengesha Mamo is an Associate Professor of Power Electronics and Electric Drives at Addis Ababa University, Institute of Technology. He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Nagasaki University, Japan. He served as Director of University-Industry linkage and Technology Transfer at Addis Ababa University and Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Prior to joining AAU, Dr. Mengesha has worked as Research and Development Engineer in Yaskawa Electric Corporation, Japan and as Research Scholar at Tennessee Technological University, USA. He has two patents resulting from his research work, which are registered in USA, Japan, Germany and China. He is member of Society of Ethiopian Electrical Engineers and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He has published several research papers in reputable journals, including the prestigious IEEE Industrial Electronics Journal.
