Masresha Fetene is Professor of Plant Ecophysiology at AAU and Executive Director of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences. He served as Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer of AAU and as Director of AAU Press. He is the recipient of several research awards and fellowships including, UNESCO-ICRO research award and the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. He is Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences.
